Fatigue, boredom and monotony are used interchangeably. Monotony is a mental tiredness caused by performing repetitive or routine job. Boredom is depression caused and the desire to change an activity.
There are two aspects of fatigue. The first aspect is that it’s physiological in nature where by the lactic acid is accumulated in your blood resulting to breakdown of tissues in your body. The second aspect is that it’s a sort of negative appetite for work. If you continue working without any rest, you will feel completely exhausted resulting to tiredness that will affect your brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles.

Short Working hours-If you are found of working for long hours without taking a break, then chances are that you will be exhausted. Schedule short working hours in your work place and in fact this will lead to reduced absenteeism, accidents, sickness and negative feelings among your employees.
Improve the environment you work in-Poor Lighting and excessive sound will make you and your employees to have negative appetite for work. You should make efforts to improve the lighting system if it’s dim. The temperature of the room where you and your employees work in should be effective.
Enlarge the job-Your employees will be tired and bored doing the same job every day. You should design various job activities so that you rotate them. By doing this, they will be learning new things pertaining to various jobs.
Music-It will reduce monotony and boredom if it’s played where employees do repetitive work each day. This will make workers feel less monotonous in doing their work.
Employee’s Compulsory Leave-Industries and business organizations should permit their employees a 30 days resting period. This will make them to visit places hence changing the usual environment they are used to. When they resume work, they will have gained energy and their minds would be freshened hence overcoming fatigue.
